Château Moulin de Lagnet Saint Emilion Grand Cru

Vineyard:

Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes, 1.5 km north-east of the village of Saint-Emilion.

Vinification:

Crushed and destemed berries maceration, fermentation with indigenous yeast starter in stainless steel vats, extraction by pumping-over, long vatting and final hot maceration.

Terroir:

Clayey and sandy.

Tasting Notes:

Ripe while still firmly tannic, this wine is still very young. It has a tough character from the dry extraction and new-wood aging, leaving a bitter edge that needs to soften. Made from organically grown grapes, the wine will likely be ready to drink from 2022.

Wine Enthusiast

Notes of black and red berries (blackcurrant, cherry and strawberries), the nose has hints of notes of vanilla and spices. A fine structure with soft tannins in the mouth.
